Sara Baras, the daughter of Concha Baras, was born in Cádiz in 1971, and she studied in San Fernando, at his mother’s School. She entered very young in the Los Niños de la Tertulia Flamenca ensemble, and in 1989 she joined the Manuel Morao’s Company, performing at the Teatro Flamenco Alhambra 89 Festival. The same year she won the first Gente Joven Award, established by TVE for promoting promising artists. In 1991 she appeared for two whole months at the Paris located Eduard VII Theatre, with Manuel Morao and Gitanos de Jerez.
In 1992 she teamed up with Javier Barón, with whom she attended the Bienal de la Danse de Lyon, and with whom she appeared at the Palace of Congresses of Paris. She also danced at the Expo 92 with Manuel Morao, staging the same show that they would present later at the Auditorio de la Cartuja and at New York’s Town Hall Theatre. In 1994 she received the Madroño Flamenco, awarded by the sevillian city of Montellano to the most outstanding artist of the year, and she did participate at the Sevilla Festival with Flamenco Íntimo. She also presented herself at the Genoa based Verdi Theatre with "Mira que flamenco". In 1994 she danced at the Sevilla Bienal, she went on tour around Asia and she did participate at the XXIII Fiesta de la Bulería of Jerez.
In 1996 she was a guest star in the show "Mujeres", staged by the Merche Esmeraldas’ Company. She also guest-starred Gitano, an Antonio Canales production of that same year. In 1997 she presented her own company, which closed the XXXVII Festival Nacional de Cante de Las Minas. Besides, she was a guest-star of the El Güito’s company, wich she joined at the Paris located Chatelet Theatre. In 1998 she presented her show Sensaciones, a travel along the different branches of flamenco.

看了介绍才发觉原来Sara Baras很年轻呢,一直认为她应该是六十年代出生的人.说真的,Flamenco的大师中她算是长的很漂亮的啦!

其实我觉得年龄较大的人跳FLAMENCO,比年龄偏小的人跳更有韵味。因为从舞者的肢体语言可以看到舞者的内心深处,也许和人成长的环境,生活还有阅历有关!

PS.玲木岗子是哪位?我知道Flamenco在日本发展得很好,不过日本演员我不太熟悉,可以给我们介绍下么?

是啊,flamenco在日本一风行就是几十年,这个艺术产业已经相当发达。最显著的证明就是在sevilla Biennale 双年节的每场音乐会的前言都会用两到三种语言重复播出:三语的时候是 西-英-日,双语的时候就是西语加日语。

忽然记起暑期班那位自称“最爱solea” 的yuki桑,翻出她的名片和网页才发现她在东京这么红,无怪琵琶老师在Alegrias 的课堂上对其风度频频称赞。
仔细看看她的舞蹈风格,不知所有的日本舞者会否都有一种民族性的共同点...

小林的表演我总是看着不习惯, 有种轻飘飘的感觉。 Flamenco舞者非得有点半老徐娘和吉普塞的味道才像样。
